St Paul’s residents enjoy catch-up over coffee
Published: Friday, 06 January 2012
First coffee morning of 2012 takes place.
The residents of St Paul s had plenty of festive news to catch up on at our latest coffee morning. The first one of the New Year, this event was held at Community House in Folly Lane on Friday 6 January.
A regular event for St Paul s, we developed these coffee mornings to help combat issues of loneliness faced by older members of the community. The events gives residents the chance to get together, have a natter and meet with CBH staff.
Our Head of Community Services, Caroline Walker said: Its wonderful to see the community coming together and taking the opportunity to meet their neighbours and build new friendships. Since Community House was opened in 2005, it has been in constant use, becoming a hub of activity and a vital resource for the local St Paul s community.
Our St Pauls Community House offers residents a place to get together, take part in community activities and also give tenants the opportunity to meet CBH staff to talk through and find solutions to any issues in the local area.
The centre is also playing a vital role in keeping our tenants informed on all the new developments in the Transforming St Pauls regeneration scheme. The scheme will see external improvements to 80 existing homes and the construction of 48 new homes. Ranging from 1 bed flats to 4 bed houses the new properties are expected to be finished in early summer 2012.
