Our Applicants Charter has been devised so you are aware of the process and time-scales involved when applying for a job with us.  We hope the information provided will help you to plan your time effectively.  In the unlikely event that the time-scales stated can not be adhered to, applicants will be informed immediately. 

We will:

  • provide clear and concise information about the vacancy and CBH; this will include a job description and person specification.
  • be polite, courteous, helpful and fair at all times when dealing with applicants.
  • contact the applicant within 24 hours with a response to any query which cannot be answered straight away.
  • post the application form and information pack first class within 48 hours of applications request.
  • provide applicants with the name of an appropriate person who can be contacted to talk to about the post.
  • ensure that only people involved in the recruitment and selection process will see the application form.
  • ensure that the successful candidate will receive a contract of employment within 10 working days of being offered the post.
  • provide a complaints procedure if an applicant is unhappy about the way in which they have been treated.
