If you are homeless or threatened with becoming homeless you should contact us as soon as possible.
We can offer assistance with lots of different situations including fleeing domestic violence, possession proceedings, eviction by a private landlord or being asked to leave by friends or relatives.
We will aim to keep you in your current property, however where this is not possible we will help you find suitable alternative accommodation. Whatever your situation, we will give you support and advice to resolve your housing need.
Not everyone who is homeless will receive the same level of assistance. Find out more.
What to do if you are homeless outside normal working hours
If you become homeless during the evening, weekend or on a public holiday please contact the Social Services Emergency Team on 01452 614194.
If you are in priority need, temporary accommodation will be arranged for you. The duty support worker will tell you to contact the housing options team on the morning of the next working day. This is essential as the temporary accommodation will only be available until then.
You can contact StreetLink on 0300 5000194. This is a national service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. StreetLink will help put you in touch with local services.
