Brighton Road – Located within a conservation area, CBH redeveloped obsolete dwellings following intensive consultation with the local community and local residents to provide 12 new 2 and 3 bed houses and 4 x 2 bedroom bungalows for social rent. The scheme completed in 2011.
St Paul’s regeneration – The Council completed a Neighbourhood Renewal Assessment in 2006 focusing on the St Paul’s Estate which at the time was within the top 5 most deprived estates in the country. Since then we have worked closely with the community to establish plans for the regeneration of the estate. This included the demolition of houses on Manser and Hudson Street that were replaced with 48 new homes to meet local housing need including one bedroom flats and large 4 bedroom family homes.
Redevelopment of four former garage sites – CBH manage over 80 garage sites in Cheltenham on behalf of the Council. A project to review the usage and condition of garages was undertaken in 2012 and 4 sites were identified as being suitable for housing. A total of 14 new properties were built, completing in Spring 2014.
St Pauls Phase 2 – The second phase of our large scale regeneration of St Paul’s was completed in May 2015. Located on what was Crabtree Place 56 new properties have been built and transformational improvements have been carried out to a number of existing homes. 24 of these new homes have been made available for affordable rent and the remaining 32 properties have been sold via our Development partner, Kier Partnership.
Further garage site redevelopments – Completion of the 10 new CBC owned properties, a mix of four 1 and 2 bed flats and five 3 bed houses and one 4 bed house at Redgrove Road, Haweswater Road, Coniston Rad and Parkbury Close was completed in August 2016. Contractor J Harper and Sons, who carried out the works completed 7 weeks ahead of schedule.
